How do I create an event?
To create an event, you have to create a community. Every event must be part of a community. Once you're part of a community, you can create events through the organizer dashboard. You can create both one-time and recurring events (up to 2 months in advance).
What types of events can I create?
We support two types of events: Internal events (hosted directly on our platform) and External events (hosted on other websites but showcased on EventsNorge). Both types can be free or paid events.
Do you support recurring events?
Yes! We support recurring events up to 2 months in advance. You can set up weekly, bi-weekly, or monthly recurring patterns for your events.
How do payments work for paid events?
We do not process payments directly. For paid events, you can add a payment link (like Stripe, PayPal, or your own payment system) to your event. Attendees will be redirected to your payment processor to complete the transaction.
Why do events need to be part of a community?
Communities help organize events by topic, location, or interest. This makes it easier for users to discover relevant events and helps build stronger local connections. Every event organizer must be part of a community to ensure quality and organization.
How do you protect user privacy and safety?
We take privacy and safety seriously. All user data is encrypted and stored securely. We have community guidelines and moderation systems in place. Users can report inappropriate content, and we regularly review events and communities to ensure they meet our standards.
What data do you collect?
We collect only necessary data to provide our services: email for account creation, event preferences for recommendations, and attendance information. We never sell your data to third parties and follow GDPR compliance standards.
Is EventsNorge free to use?
Yes! EventsNorge is completely free for users to discover and attend events. Event organizers can create and manage events for free. We may introduce premium features in the future, but core functionality will always remain free.

We use automated systems to discover events from various sources across Norway, including event websites, social media, and community platforms. We also encourage event organizers to submit their events directly to ensure maximum visibility.
Do I need to verify my account?
Account verification is optional but recommended for event organizers. Verified accounts get priority in search results and can access additional features. Verification helps build trust with potential attendees.
